Trier is relaxing and beautiful…

7 Jan

This year I spent new years eve in the city of Trier. It is one of the oldest cities of Germany, used to be the residence of the Emporer Constantine II. between 328 and 340 and is most famous for the large Roman city gate ‘Porta Nigra’. If you haven’t been there, come and visit it. Trier is relaxing and beautiful. Besides, Karl Marx was born in Trier and grew up there.

On the way back to Dortmund we drove along the Moselle river and stopped at the small city of Bernkastel-Kues…
